Glide Community Club Rules for The Community Building(s)

1). Keys for the Glide Community Club Building and Annex are to be picked up from the Club representative before 5:00 pm and not more than 2 days prior to the day of the event. All keys must be returned by the first business day immediately following the event. All rental costs and deposits must be paid prior to the issue of any keys.

2). Smoking is NOT permitted in any of the Clubs structures.

3). All spills must be moped up immediately to avoid possible floor or equipment damage. Cleaning equipment is available.

4). No tacks or nails are to be driven to the walls. No "Scotch" tape will be affixed to walls or trim. Masking tape may be used to affix signs or decorations. All taped signs, decorations and tape must be removed at the conclusion of the event.

5). No chairs or tables are to be removed from the building(s) unless prior arrangements have been made.

6). Lift, DO NOT slide heavy objects, tables or chairs to prevent scratching or damaging the floor.

7). The person signing the rental agreement shall be deemed the responsible party for all damage to the building or its components. This applies to misuse, vandalism or carelessness. Not normal wear and tear.

8) The person signing the rental agreement shall be responsible for cleanup, ensuring all doors are locked, lights and heater are turned off and the keys are returned as specified in Rule #1. Closing the buildings includes picking up all waste paper (including restrooms), wiping down all tables and counters that were used, cleaning the floor, removing all decorations and placing all refuse in the dumpster outside the building.

9). All use shall cease and the building secured by midnight unless otherwise agreed to.

10). Consumption of alcoholic beverages in or around GCC property is strictly prohibited regardless of age.

11). All renters must be 18 or older. Any event including minors must be chaperoned. Adults must remain after the event to supervise and certify all cleanup.

12). Do not use or move equipment (piano, big screen TV or bingo machine) without prior approval.

13). The renter shall be liable for the costs of any damage, replacement, or the required cleaning as the result of the specific rental event. Deposit will be forfeited and be used to pay these costs. If costs exceed the amount deposited, the renter shall be liable and charged the difference.

14). GCC reserves the right to make any repairs concerning safety issues at any time. General maintenance issues will be coordinated with the renter when necessary.

15). Forfeiture of deposits by any party will result in a deposit amount increase to 1 ½ times normal deposits for ant future events scheduled by that party.

16). Renters serving food or drink for sale must obtain and post a Health Department Permit obtained from the Douglas County Health Department. It is the renters responsibility to contact County Health for current guidelines on the permit requirements.

17). All fire exits must remain clear and unobstructed at all times.

18). The maximum occupancy of the main GCC building can not exceed 241.

19). Keep all doors closed when using the heat. Do Not Tamper With The Thermostat. It is preprogrammed for each day of the week.. Adjust the temperature using the up/down arrows ONLY!

20). Do not tamper with any switch box located in the main building entry. Tampering will cause damage and you will be charged accordingly.

21). The GCC reserves the right to withhold rental opportunities to any group or organization it deems unsuitable with current community or club standards.

 

 

Exhibit "B"
Glide Community Club Rules for use of the Kitchen

The kitchen facilities of the Glide Community Club are available for use. Such use is governed by the following rules and restrictions. This exhibit is to be issued and used in conjunction with GCC Exhibit "A".

 

1). Use of the kitchen will allow the use of counters, available utensil, cookware and appliances except the steam table and commercial dishwasher. These will NOT be used without prior approval from the Club.

2). Any use of the supplies, loss or damage to utensil or damage to any appliance will result in the forfeiture of all deposits. In the event damage costs meet or exceed replacement costs the renter will be responsible for these costs and be billed for the difference. It is strongly recommended that the renter request a Club representative for a through inspection of all supplies and equipment to ensure correct and satisfactory appearance and operation.

3). The kitchen is used by the Douglas County Senior Nutrition Program and MUST be kept clean. If it is required to be cleaned prior to use by the Nutrition Program, the renter responsible will forfeit all deposits. Any future use of the kitchen will result in a deposit increase to 1 ½ time the normal, published rate.

4). Provisions of this policy may be waived by the Glide Community Club in cases where it is deemed in the best interests of the community to do so.
