The Glide Golden Quiz Bowl started the evening .  Questions about events and people over the past 50 years were the focus.

The Ospreys and the Eagles square off against each other.  It was an intense battle.  The scores were close, but the Ospreys prevailed.

For the first time, the GCC Student Scholarship was awarded at the Celebration.  The scholarship has community service as one of its primary criterion, so it is a perfect fit with the First Citizen concept.

This year's winner was Shelby Heidrick.

Don Good named 2010 First Citizen.  Janie Dumont, the very first Glide First Citizen, was the presenter.
The other First Citizen named for 2010 was Debbie Anderson.  She was out of town for the ceremony, but received her award at a going-away party held at the Illahee on March 23.  Dianne Muscarello presents Debbie (right) with her certificate.

After the  naming of this year's First Citizens, Kelsey Waybrant sang "The Wind Beneath My Wings."  The song was dedicated to ALL First Citizens.

Looks like someone is eying Bob Bernal's cake.  He must have a slice of that fabulous carrot cake!
