The Board of Directors adopts policies and procedures to help it manage the club’s affairs.
 
Policies and procedures ensure that
    •    GCC business is conducted smoothly and efficiently,
    •    GCC financial and other assets are protected,
    •    the GCC stays in compliance with its bylaws and with federal and state regulations and reporting requirements.
 
Having clearly documented policies and procedures
    •    helps the Board and members remember important policy decisions
    •    captures and summarizes state regulations for easy reference
    •    makes transitions of new directors and officers smoother and easier
    •    prevents reinventing the wheel when infrequent events such as elections or major projects are carried out.
